As a kid, I was always fascinated to see guests at various weddings praise my father – a poet, for the ‘sehra’ he wrote for the occasion. When one of my closest friends passed away, he penned down an emotional tribute and my late friend’s parents could not control their tears as they relived their son’s journey through words – which were full of emotions. At a time when other guests brought showpieces as gifts at numerous occasions, our gift always stood out as it was a lifetime memory and not just a common gift.

Storytelling and creativity run in our blood and even during my professional journey, where I worked as the Sports Editor for close to 14 years at two of India’s top media organisations, I was always asked to pen down something on any major occasion. Some of the best features I wrote on sports were praised as emotional write-ups by my colleagues.

I always wanted to do something of my own that was unique and creative. I thought it would be a great idea to make the best use of the creativity in the family. That’s where Wishwaale was conceptualized.

Through Wishwaale, we want to make people fall in love with our mother tongue Hindi as with due respect to all other languages, we firmly believe that Hindi evokes a plethora of unique emotions.
